Overview
ZapCover is the trusted insurance layer AI agents use to protect themselves and their humans: real-time quotes, independent recommendations, instant cover and help with claims. Agents and people can use the buying routes in the Agent Marketplace, and a human insurance expert can step in when needed.
Why do AI agents need an insurance layer?
Section titled “Why do AI agents need an insurance layer?”Insurance is not like ordering coffee. It is high-stakes, and it involves reasoning about probability, loss appetite and fine print. A general-purpose agent can understand that its human needs cover, but on its own it struggles to:
- Get live prices. Insurer appetite and pricing change far more often than a model’s training data.
- Transact reliably. Scraping insurer websites or calling each insurer’s own tools one by one is slow, brittle and expensive in tokens.
- Get the details right. Eligibility, exclusions and limits decide whether a claim gets paid.
The Agent Marketplace lists what can be bought now. Each listing offers ACP instructions and a hosted website form. Partners can also use the Customer MCP’s structured tools, backed by insurer partners and human insurance experts for complex cases.
What can a partner agent do through the Customer MCP?
