Consent and customer control

Agents act. Humans authorise. ZapCover is designed so an agent can move quickly while the customer stays in control of every decision that matters.

Tools that save information or take an action (put_application_collection, request_quote, select_quote and others) require an explicit customer confirmation. It confirms the supplied information or the requested action. It is not, by itself, consent to buy.

Starting an application, collecting details, requesting quotes and selecting a quote do not record legal purchase consent. Consent is collected when the application or proposal is submitted, against the current disclosures returned by get_application_disclosures.

Each application gets its own short-lived capability. It works only for that one journey and cannot be used to read or change any other customer’s application.

Identity checks (KYC) are completed by the customer on a secure ZapCover page. The agent receives a hand-off link from get_kyc_handoff; the link grants no access by itself.

Complex cases and exceptions are routed to human insurance experts rather than left to the agent.
