Connect your agent
ZapCover’s Customer MCP is a standard Model Context Protocol server, so any MCP-capable client can connect to it.
To buy without a custom MCP connection, start at the Agent Marketplace. Choose Buy for ACP instructions, or Open hosted site for a browser form. The steps below are for partners integrating the Customer MCP.
Add the server to your client
Section titled “Add the server to your client”Most MCP clients take a server name and URL. For example:
{ "mcpServers": { "zapcover": { "url": "<your ZapCover MCP endpoint>" } }}- Claude: add it as a custom connector in settings, or in your
claude_desktop_config.json/ Claude Code MCP config. - ChatGPT: add it as a connector (developer mode).
- Cursor and other IDEs: add it to the client’s MCP settings file.
- Your own agent: use any MCP client library and connect over streamable HTTP.
Make your first call
Section titled “Make your first call”Every journey starts with start_application, using the program endpoint ID you were given:
start_application({ endpointId: '<published program endpoint>', requestId: crypto.randomUUID(), // lets you retry safely})The response includes a short-lived capability for that one application, and nextTool: "get_application_requirements". From there, follow the purchase journey.
